How long does CVPIC take?

The honest numbers: training your AI model usually takes 20-30 minutes, and your finished photos are typically ready within about 2 hours of upload — always the same day. Here's what happens during that time.

The timeline, step by step

  1. Upload your selfies (~5 minutes). You upload around 10-15 photos and pick your styles. This is the only part that needs your attention.
  2. Model training (usually 20-30 minutes). The AI studies your selfies and builds your personal model — the step that makes every later photo actually look like you. More on how this works in combining photos with AI.
  3. Applying your styles and rendering. Your chosen pack's prompts run against your model — outfits, backdrops, lighting setups — generating your photo set.
  4. Final quality check, then delivery. Finished photos land in your dashboard, typically within about 2 hours end-to-end, and we email you the moment they are ready.

You don't need to watch the progress bar

Once training starts, you can close the tab, put your phone away and get on with your day. CVPIC sends an email when training begins and another when your photos are ready to view and download. The processing page shows live step-by-step progress if you do want to watch, but nothing depends on you keeping it open.

What can make it faster or slower

That last point deserves emphasis: training only happens once per model. After your first run, generating a new pack — say adding Travel Photos after your Corporate Headshots — starts rendering immediately.

What if something goes wrong?

We would rather tell you this upfront: a small fraction of runs fail or stall. When that happens, CVPIC detects it, tells you on the status page instead of leaving a spinner forever, and automatically refunds the credits used for the failed run. If a run ever goes far beyond the expected window, contact support and we'll investigate right away — and the refund policy covers you beyond that.

How this compares to the alternatives

A traditional photographer means booking ahead, travelling, an hour of shooting and days of waiting for retouched files. Among AI tools, turnaround varies: some headshot services quote anywhere from minutes to a few hours, while prompt-based generators like Midjourney render in seconds but don't know your face without training. CVPIC's couple of hours buys the step that matters — a model trained specifically on you — which is what makes the photos usable for LinkedIn, CVs and dating profiles. Frequently asked questions

How long does CVPIC take to generate photos?

Photos are typically ready within around 2 hours of uploading your selfies, and always the same day. Model training usually takes 20-30 minutes, with photo generation and quality checks making up the rest.

How long does AI model training take?

Training your personal AI model on your selfies usually takes 20-30 minutes. You'll see live progress on the processing page, and you don't need to keep the page open.

Do I have to wait on the website while my photos generate?

No. You can close the page at any time — CVPIC emails you as soon as your photos are ready to view and download from your dashboard.

Why is my generation taking longer than 2 hours?

Around 2 hours is the average, and occasional runs take longer during busy periods. If a run goes unusually long, the status page will tell you, and if anything actually fails your credits are refunded automatically — contact support via cvpic.co.uk/contact and we'll look into it right away.

Is CVPIC faster than a traditional photoshoot?

Dramatically. A studio shoot typically means booking days or weeks ahead, an hour on location, then days of waiting for edited photos. CVPIC goes from selfie upload to finished, downloadable photos in a couple of hours.
